Arcade 92

Just outside Dallas, this spot is $12.99 per person for all-day, unlimited games. You get a wristband to come and go. Games include pinball, retro arcades, and current Xbox titles. There’s a full bar, food, and a rentable private party room. We spent hours here on a Thursday with almost no one else. Highly recommended.

Things to do on your Dallas Trip

Person with shoulder-length hair wearing a black hoodie with 'Good Mythical Morning' logo, standing with arms outstretched in front of a large, mythical creature resembling a fish with prominent fins, in a dark room illuminated by purple and red lights.
Two people wearing paper crowns labeled 'Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament' taking a selfie at a crowded event.
People waiting in line outside a castle-themed attraction with banners, flags, and a large shield emblem on the wall.

We take trips to Dallas usually about once a year so I will add to this page after each trip with new experiences. Please let me know if you have suggestions for our next Dallas trip! Don’t forget to check out where we stayed and where we ate.

Netflix House

Netflix House is in Galleria Mall, reachable from inside or outside. There are several free parking garages; we had no trouble finding a spot on a Friday. The purple garage has a direct walkup to Netflix House.

The outside has statues and the inside a large entryway with Netflix-themed art—both good for photos. The Stranger Things and Squid Game experiences are on the lower level; they cost extra (from $39/person) and last about an hour each. We didn’t do them—tell me if you recommend them!

Netflix Bites, Replay Arcade, and the merch store are on the upper level. The layout feels odd because you walk through the restaurant to get to other areas. We visited all parts, so here’s a breakdown:

  • Netflix Bites has two seating areas: low tables near the kitchen and high tables by the bar. We sat at a high-top and had to order at the crowded bar, which made getting a bartender’s attention hard, though service was quick once we did. The menu is basically diner food with fancied-up names and prices. Worth trying once, but not for the food.

  • Replay Arcade: Tucked behind the bar, easy to find by loud music and neon lights. As someone on the spectrum, I found it overwhelming and left quickly. The arcade has many games themed around Netflix shows and kiosks where you buy game cards instead of using coins. Good for kids or people who aren’t easily overstimulated.

  • Merchandise store: It was larger than I expected and sold items from many shows. The main ones were Bridgerton, Wednesday, and Stranger Things, with other Netflix originals mixed in. One end had a display case showing Bridgerton costumes when we visited. Prices were typical for a merch shop.

We definitely recommend this experience when you are visiting Dallas. Since it’s also connected to the mall, you could spend the whole day walking, shopping and eating.

Medieval Times

Located near Downtown with plenty of parking. The entry process was seamless and then you’re free to mingle until the doors open to the arena. My husband purchased VIP tickets for us to get priority seating, but if you opt for the regular tickets make sure to get there early to get good seats. There are two main components to this experience I want to talk about:

  1. The Show: better than expected! Literally everyone in the area gets so into it, even the wait staff. It’s hard not to get lost in the story and cheer for your knight.

  2. The Food: One of the main reasons we wanted to try this experience is because they offer both vegan and vegetarian menu options. You designate which menu option you want when you purchase your tickets and then your waiter will verify with you before bringing out the food. I did not have high hopes for how the food would taste, but I was pleasantly surprised when it was absolutely delicious!

We had a blast at Medieval Times and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting or living near one of their locations.

Stars Hockey Game

The hockey game was the whole reason for this trip to Dallas, but anyone can enjoy a hockey game whether they are fans or not. The Stars fans are very… passionate about their team, but they were still very nice even when they learned we were rooting for the away team. Before you buy tickets there are a few things you should know:

  • Tickets can be very expensive so buy them early - direct from the ticketing agency if possible.

  • Parking at the American Airlines Center or anywhere near it is very expensive. We highly recommend taking the DART system if at all possible. My husband and I each paid $6 round-trip using a free park and ride lot near our hotel. The DART website is not the easiest to use so do your research early!

  • You do have to get through security when entering so make sure you are prepared for that. Ladies, purses/bags are checked so a clear or very small bag is best if you have to carry one.
