5/5 Jus Mac

This in one of our favorite restaurants in Houston so we just had to review this one first. It’s a hidden gem located right off of I-610 on Yale Street. This location is about 15 minutes from the art district, Midtown and Downtown and has it’s own on-site parking lot. For our two drinks, appetizer and two entrees our total bill was just over $40 which honestly makes it a very affordable meal. Dine-in or take out are both available and there is a back patio for those that tolerate the Texas weather better than my husband and I do.

Customer Service: 5/5 We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in and our drinks were always full. Our waitress was attentive and super sweet.

Food: 5/5 I cannot recommend the fried macaroni appetizer enough! It’s a must-have if you go. They have a dedicated section for vegetarian options on their recently expanded menu and plenty of options for everyone in your group.

Ambiance: 5/5 They redecorated since we visited last and the dining room looks great. It has a rustic farmhouse vibe with industrial accents. The seating is comfortable and everything was very clean. We were both freezing though so bring a jacket!

Cleanliness: 5/5

The only aspect of this restaurant that needs some work are the bathrooms. While clean and functional, they appear to be currently mid-renovation. Overall, our experience was great and we highly recommend you try it!
